The organic Azienda Agricola Visintini is located on the hills behind Corno di Rosazzo, south of the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali. The enchanting twenty-four hectare estate was once the location for the Castle of Gramogliano whose history dates back to 1290. The property belongs to the family since 1884 and has been a family-run company since its foundation in 1973 by Andrea Visintini. The estate has about 35 hectares of vineyards in Collio, Collio Orientali and Grave del Friuli,
In 2002 the winery passed to the family heirs and is now managed by Oliviero and his twin sisters Cinzia and Palmira, who farm the estate entirely with biodynamic practices and are now Certified Organic.
Visintini’s wines are defined by the wonderful expression of both, the grape and the terroir, and are recognized amongst professionals by its extraordinary good value in what is generally a highly priced italian region. Its beautiful botanical drawings on the labels relate to the flavour profiles in each different varietal.
